Hardware

What cameras does VIA support?

Neurala VIA is compatible with GigE Vision standard and USB3 Vision cameras. For broad applicability to a variety of use cases, the preferred camera should be 2-5 megapixels and support a frame rate of at least 20 fps.

What are the computer requirements for VIA?

The hardware requirements for the computer on which VIA is installed are detailed here.

The VIA software isn't working on my computer!

There are a few things to check if the software fails to run properly:

  • Confirm the USB license key is installed in the computer (VIA will provide an alert if the USB key is missed or has expired).
  • Confirm the computer meets the minimum hardware requirements .
  • Make sure the computer doesn't have other vision AI or machine vision software installed. Some software from other vision providers can cause conflicts with the Neurala VIA software. If such software is installed, remove it and try again.

If these tips don't address the problem, please speak to your Neurala integration partner or contact Neurala support at [email protected].

What camera pixel formats does Inspector support?

Inspector can capture images from GigE Vision and USB3 Vision cameras in the pixel formats detailed in the hardware requirements.

Is it possible to use the VIA software with an HMI instead of the Inspector app interface?

Yes! Inspector and Brain Builder include HTTP APIs and other code integration options that can be integrated with HMIs and custom interfaces.
